Pegg Johnson

Show Clothing Designer & Sewing Instructor

Background

Pegg Johnson’s involvement with horses, showing, and sewing began at an early age. She has 30 years as a 4-H leader, 15 years as a high school equestrian team coach, and multiple show championships under her belt. And since she was a teenager, Pegg has made her own show clothing. She eventually began making her three daughters’ western and saddle seat clothing, and her son’s rodeo shirts. People noticed and her custom show clothing business was born. Pegg has exhibited her clothing at many events throughout the U.S. Surprised by the many questions her customers asked, Pegg began sharing her knowledge through instructional DVDs, books, and sewing clinics. The business grew to include multi-day Sewing Retreats featuring small classes and extra attention to detail, and personalized one-on-one instruction sessions at her studio, with students coming in from all over the country. Now Pegg has begun developing her own line of show clothing patterns. With many more ideas on the drawing board, it’s safe to say Pegg Johnson has no intention of slowing down anytime soon!
