WHAT IS A SEWING RETREAT and HOW DOES THIS WORK????
Settle in for 3 - sometimes 4 - days of sewing with like minded horse people.
Once you arrive, you will not need to leave until you depart from the weekend.
Sleeping accommodations, bedding, and bath towels supplied by facility
Electronic, adjustable tables with Ott lights and comfortable chairs are supplied
Food is pot luck with each individual bringing something to share.
If you have a special diet or food allergy, please let us know
Bring your sewing machine and projects.
Pegg Johnson hosts the retreat and is available to teach you how to construct your sewing project.
Whether sewing chaps, shirts or jackets, everyone shares their knowledge and expertise.
DATE: March 19 - 21, 2027 (Thursday can be added for an additional fee)
LOCATION: Rose villa Retreat
ADDRESS: 115 E. Grand River, Laingsburg, MI
Full Weekend Fee: $459.00 if staying overnight for the weekend plus Thursday. ($512 if attending Thursday)
Daily Drive in Fee: $159.00 per day of attendance if you are not staying overnight
Payment plan: $100 deposit required to hold your spot.
$100 deposit due one month prior to retreat
Balance Due at end of retreat.
WHAT WE'LL SEW: This sewing retreat will be dedicated to the construction of the project of your choice. Our "theme" will be BACK TO BASICS - Horsemanship or Pleasure shirts. We'll cover how to measure; how to choose your size; how to alter the pattern to fit and construction techniques..
EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Ability to thread your machine, fill your bobbin, sew a straight line, read a measuring tape.
SUPPLIES NEEDED: A supplies list will be emailed to you. (machine, cord, pattern, fabric, etc)
Thursday - This day is optional and an additional $53 - for those who want to come early and settle in. Facility open at 8 am..
Friday: - arrive after 8 am. Settle in/get acquainted. Pizza at 5:00
Saturday: Sewing begins - 9 am. - supper at one of nearby restaurants
Sunday: Sewing begins - 9 am
Sunday - Facility closes at 6 pm.
PLEASE BRING FOOD TO SHARE - we have a full kitchen for our use, as well as several local restaurants.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Rose villa - Partial refund up to 30 days prior. Less than 30 days - no refund;
